Because there are so many pictures of this particular trip they are broken into multiple pages.

The weather was great for a chance for Holly to swim in the ocean. She doesn't like to swim in waves, but there weren't any - it was like a lake. We found a dog-friendly beach off the end of the runways at the Naval Air Station on Boca Chica, the next key north of Key West.
Our next stop, and our last with Georgia and Michael, was Fort Lauderdale, where we visited with Jim and Chris Guld. They took us out for an evening on a water taxi on the New River and the Intracoastal waterway.

One gets to see how the "other half" lives, with the homes of the rich and famous, along with their yachts!
More butterflies, this time at Butterfly World in Coconut Creek.
Starting the long trek home we stopped in Homosassa, at an RV park we remembered from 2003. Holly got up-close and personal with a tortoise who wandered through our site.
We also revisited the State Park at Homosassa Springs, where there are lots of Manatees and tropical birds. The snorkeler swimming with the Manatee is in the river outside the park.
One more Butterfly exhibit, the last for this trip. This one is at the Florida Museum of Natural History at the University of Florida, in Gainesville.
This is only a tiny percentage of their butterfly and moth collection, numbering in the millions!
The most eventful thing on the trip back from Florida was crossing through 300 miles of snow in the California desert!
