Travels to/from Maryhill, Washington, for a small gathering of friends.
Maryhill Oregon
One of our RV friends called for a small gathering at Maryhill State Park on the Columbia for the weekend of June 8th, so we decided to take out time up and back.

I'm taking a lot more video than stills these days, so much of the content below is linked to YouTube. Whenever we go north, or return from the north, our first and/or last stop is usually at the Beachfront RV Park in Brookings. This is what it looks like as we pull in:

We found a nice little fenced dog park in Newport where Nikki could practice her frisbee skills. We also tried a couple of beach runs near there, but she still is not ready to come when called if there is a lot of fun to be had, so we chased her around a lot until someone she ran up to managed to grab her collar. May be another year or so before we try that again!

Our first couple of nights at Maryhill were a bit chilly, but then it warmed up to normal temperatures. Chilly night at Maryhill

We did a bit of geocaching, and these three pictures were taken from one located directly across the river from Maryhill State Park. Views of the bridge downriver at Biggs, the John Day Dam upriver, and the park directly across the river.

Geocaching in a cemetary on the Maryhill side we were just below the scale copy of Stonehenge. We have been up there before, and didn't go this trip.

Heading home, this is what it is like crossing the Columbia River at Maryhill:

We had about our best view ever of Mt Hood as we approached The Dalles:

Crossing the Golden Bear Bridge over the Klamath we know we are almost home:
