This is our eighth winter trip to Quartzsite, and fifth Blue Bird Rally at Quartzsite.
Quartzsite 2012
We did not make it to "Q" in 2011, but are back for another year. We also stopped off in Lancaster where Joy's sister came up and stayed with us for a couple of days.

I'm taking a lot more video than stills these days, so most of the content below is linked to YouTube. The Blue Bird rally at Quartzsite is typically configured as an oval with a fire pit in the center. The oval doesn't hold all of the coaches, and we were by choice in a second row. The video below was early in the arrival as about half of the coaches had arrived.

Below is a panorama taken a few days later, from our rooftop.

Eating is a big thing at most Blue Bird rallies. Lots of potlucks, breakfasts, etc. This year we had a prime-rib dinner.

A major attraction at Quartzsite is the "Big Tent" which is full of vendors, with a general emphasis on RV products.

This is a look at some of the booths in Tyson Wells and around the Big Tent

A powered paraglider buzzed low over the Bird nest.

We are thinking that our next RV will be a 2004 M380 like this one. Unfortunately this is the only blue one ever made.

I took a group to the top of Q Hill for the third time in the past 4 years.

Here's the group that made the climb. Top of Q-Hill

This was the group photo shoot. Joy and I are at the left, with Nikki.

We stayed a couple of weeks after the rally, and did some geocaching. Got a few wildlife photos, but failed to get one of the only bobcat we've ever seen out there. Roadrunner
