AerialSightsIran

Below are a smattering of photos taken from helicopters over Iran. Based on slide dates, these are mostly around Rasht and Tabriz. A few were taken elsewhere. The first two boat pictures are on the Caspian, while the water shots at the bottom are on the Persian Gulf.

The dam and reservoir are called Sefid Rud, and are in the mountains above Rasht. Output is to the Caspian.

Spotting wildlife from the air was common, such as the two photos of foxes (probably two photos of the same fox) and the Eagle nest.

Rice paddies are found in the lowlands along the Caspian, which is 90+ feet below sea level.
